This is a level 1 Sacco that was started in 1966 by coffee farmers in Muranga.
The Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) authorized it to operate as a depository Sacco in 2011.
Amica is one of the best and most successful SACCOs in Kenya.
Currently, Amica has 200,000 members and an asset base of Ksh 5.6 billion. They have 18 branches and over 360 employees spread across Nairobi, Kiambu and Muranga regions.
The Sacco’s head office is at the Murang’a Farmers’ Union Building along Uhuru Street in Murang’a City.
