It is located along Gitanga Road in the green area of Lavington in Nairobi.
The school was founded in 1979 and is part of the Braeburn Group of International Schools which offers the UK National Curriculum in Kenya and Tanzania.

Braeburn is divided into :

early years (home nursery for children aged 3 to 5),
primary (1 to 6 years),

secondary (7 to 11 years) and
form six(12 and 13 years).

The school year at Braeburn School in Nairobi starts in September.

However, students can join the school at any time of the year.

To reserve a place for your child, you must complete the application form and pay a non-refundable registration fee of Ksh5,000 and a deposit of Ksh50,000.
