Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Bondo campus is located along the Bondo-Siaya road.
The school first started operations at the Masita Technical Training Center, where it offered only medical recordkeeping and information technology programs.
However, the increasing demand for clinical studies led the District Health Committee to allocate a new site near the Bondo District Hospital. As a result, the main school was established there.
Currently, KMTC Bondo Campus offers 5 courses for students who want to pursue a career in the medical field.

Certificate in Medical Records and Information Technology
Requirements: Grade C- average, C- in English or Kiswahili and D in Biology/Biological Sciences.
D- in Mathematics and D+ in any of the following:- Physics/Physical Science, Chemistry, General Science, Computer Science, Agriculture, Home Science, Economics, Geography, Business and Business Studies
Duration: 2 years
Certificate in Medical Engineering
Requirements: Grade C- average, C- in English or Kiswahili, D in Mathematics and D- in Physics/Physical Science.
D in one of the following fields: Chemistry, Biology/Biological Sciences, Electric, Metallurgy, Technical Drawing
Duration: 2 years
Diploma in Medical Records and Information Technology (Advanced)
Requirements: Grade C average, C in English or Kiswahili with C- and
Mathematics D+ in Biology/Biological Sciences C- in one of the following fields: Physics/Physical Sciences, Chemistry, Computer Studies, Agriculture, Home Science, Economics, Geography, Business, Business Studies
Duration: 3 years
Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery
Requirements: Grade C average, C in English or Kiswahili, and C in Biology/Biological Sciences,
C- in Chemistry/Physical Science C- in one of the following fields: Mathematics, Physics/Science the body
Duration: 3 years
Diploma in Registered Community Nursing in Kenya
Requirements: Grade C, C average in English or Kiswahili and Biology/Biological Sciences.
C- in one of the following fields: Physical Chemistry / Physical Sciences or Mathematics
Duration: 3 years
KMTC Bondo has partnered with several medical institutions to provide hands-on experience to students.
The health center is Bondo sub-county hospital, while other sites include Yala, Kombewa, Ruambwa Usigu, Madiany, Got Agulu, Ambira and Ukwala hospitals.
For professional placement, students use teaching and referral hospitals in Siaya County, Vihiga, Kakamega, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga (Kisumu County), Bungoma and Busia.
To ensure that students have access to the best facilities and equipment, the KMTC Bondo campus has invested in modern facilities.
These facilities include modern classrooms, hostels, administrative centers, canteens, well-stocked libraries, fully equipped computer labs and art labs.
The school also organized extracurricular activities for its students such as clubs, societies and sports, which received college approval.
Among the organizations present are Seventh Day Adventist, Christian Union, Catholic Action, Muslim Group and Music Club.
Through these, students can develop their skills, create social networks and improve their overall well-being.
