Bonga Points is a loyalty program for all Safaricom PrePay and PostPay subscribers.

The program offers rewards for using Safaricom lines. Bonga points are earned as soon as you sign up for the program. You will earn one Bonga point for every Ksh 10 spent on voice, text or data calls.

Bonga tokens can be redeemed for rewards ranging from airtime (minutes), data, SMS and MMS packages to merchandise that can be redeemed at all Safaricom retail outlets in Kenya.

How to register for Bonga points

Just dial *126# and follow the instructions to register for Bonga points. You will get 30 free Bonga points when you sign up.

How to set your Bonga PIN

Prepaid customers:

• Dial *126# and reply with 5 or dial *126*5#
• Select the option “Set New PIN”
• Enter your National ID number
• Enter the final deposit amount
• Enter the PIN
• Confirm PIN
• Click OK to confirm

Postpay Customers:

• PostPay customers need to call customer services on 200 from your Safaricom line to set their PIN automatically.
• A Bonga PIN is required when transferring your Bonga points.

How to check the Bonga balance

To check how much Bonga you have accumulated, dial *126# and select option 2.

How to redeem Bonga points

You can redeem your Bonga token by dialing *126# and selecting option 4.

Bonga points can be redeemed for free airtime, minutes, SMS, internet, MMM, mobile, tablet, apps and Kenya Airways tickets.

You can also redeem your Bonga points at any Buy Lipa and MPESA market place and select an invoice number.

How to transfer/Sambaza Bonga Points

Make sure your Bonga PIN is set before uploading your Bonga items.

Dial *126# and select option 6 to transfer your Bonga points.

You will be prompted to enter a phone number to transfer Bonga Points to.

The minimum number of Bonga you can transfer is 50.
