Kiunga National Marine Reserve is made up of 50 islands. It includes mangrove forests, mudflats, lagoons, dunes, beaches, seagrass beds, coral reefs and dugongs.

The 270 square kilometer reserve is home to a variety of fish, turtles, lobsters, sea urchins, lobsters, sea cucumbers, brittlestars, starfish, dugongs, crabs and a variety of birds.

Kiunga is the best place for snorkeling, diving, swimming, windsurfing, sunbathing and water skiing.

While in Kiunga Marine National Reserve, visit Kiwayu Island.

Fun fact: Kiunga is the tallest mangrove tree in Kenya.
