This article is about all the courses offered at the KMTC Busia campus.
Kenya Medical Training College KMTC Busia Campus is one of the 71 campuses of KMTC, located on a large 4½ acres adjacent to Busia County Referral Hospital in Busia Town, Matayos Ward, County of Busia.
The facility is about 500 meters from the Kenya-Uganda border.
The school was approved by the Council of Clinical Officers on November 1, 2016, and the first group of students was accepted for a degree in medicine that same month.
The School of Nursing was approved by the Kenyan Nursing Association to offer a national nursing degree in Kenya in March 2017, accepting the first nursing students in April 2017.

Currently, KMTC Busia School offers two degree programs. We will list them below, including their requirements and the length of each course.
Diploma in Registered Community Nursing in Kenya
Requirements: KCSE means C level, C in English or Kiswahili and Biology/Biological Sciences.
C- in one of the following fields: Chemistry or Physics/Physical Science or Mathematics
Duration: 3 years
Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery
Requirements: KCSE Average C, C in English or Kiswahili, and C in Biology/Biological Sciences, C- in Chemistry/Physical Science C- in one of the following areas: Mathematics, Physics/Physical Science the body.
Duration: 3 years
Course of study
Going forward, the Campus plans to offer two more courses:
- Certificate in Community Health Nursing
- A refresher course in orthopedic trauma medicine
The school has modern and well-equipped facilities to provide a comfortable learning environment for students. They understand:

In addition to the Busia County Referral Hospital, students have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in other hospitals and health facilities such as;
- Alupe Sub County Hospital
- Amukura Health Center
- Bumala Medical Center
- Lukolis Medical Company
- Nambale Sub County Hospital
- Port Victoria Sub County Hospital
- Sio-port Health Center
In addition, the school and other hospitals and health centers outside Busia County, including Nakuru County Referral Hospital, Mathare Mental Health Hospital, and Kakamega County Referral Hospital.
The KMTC Busia campus has many religions, including the Catholic Student Association, the Christian Union, the Muslim Student Association, and the Seventh-Day Adventist.
They provide opportunities for students to engage in spiritual activities, socialize, and participate in community service initiatives.
For sports enthusiasts, the school offers several sports programs, including football, volleyball, handball, hockey and indoor sports.
