In East Africa

You can conveniently send money throughout the East Africa region, especially to Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania.

You can send money to any destination in the world. This applies to millions of bank accounts and over 500,000 Western Union locations worldwide.

Conveniently access funds and shop around the world with Paypal’s mobile money service with Mpesa.

The minimum and maximum amount that can be sent via Mpesa Global is Kshs 101 and Kshs 70,000 respectively.

How to subscribe to the Mpesa global service

1. Through the USSD

• Dial *840#. Read the terms and conditions.
• Accept or decline the terms and conditions to participate.
• Enter your Mpesa PIN and then wait for a confirmation message.

2. Via the MySafaricom app

• Launch the updated version of the MySafaricom app. (A good internet connection is required).
• Go to mpesa
• Select Global Mpesa.
