Located three kilometers from Nyahururu town, Thomson Falls is arguably one of the most impressive waterfalls in Kenya.
The beautiful 74 meter waterfall on the Ewaso Ng’iro River is a great place for photography and bird watching.
The best view of the waterfall is obtained by going down to the river – full of beautiful beauty.
Walking paths can be dangerous, be careful. Don’t forget to pack good hiking boots and warm clothes.
You need to be fit enough to go down.
Watch out for the baboons running around the park.
Cultural links are a bonus in Thomson’s Falls tour packages. When you enter, you will be greeted by local dancers in traditional clothes who will be happy to take pictures (for a fee).
There are also shops selling textiles and other traditional items outside the entrance.
