Ukulima Sacco Membership Eligibility & Requirements

This article is about Ukulima Sacco Membership Eligibility & Requirements. Since its humble beginnings in 1972, Ukulima Sacco was registered as a Savings and Credit Co-operative Society and began operations with registration certificate number CS2026. Sacco has an asset base of Sh12.74 billion and has more than 47,000 members. It is a national Sacco with headquarters in Nairobi and FOSA branch networks in Kisumu, Mombasa, Eldoret, Embu, Nakuru, Kisii and Kakamega.

  • Educational institutions.
  • Parastatals.
  • Governmental agencies.
  • Compagnie private.
  1. Corporations
  • Private companies.
  • Public enterprises.
  • Clubs.
  • Partnership business.
  • Cooperative societies.
  • Groups/chamas as self-help.

Ukulima Sacco Membership Requirements/Process


(A). Individual registration

  • Fill out the membership request form. It can be downloaded from the Sacco website.

  • Please attach a copy of your national identity card and valid Kenyan passport.
  • Attach a passport-sized color photograph.

  • Attach your latest pay stub (if applicable).
  • Attach a copy of your KRA PIN.

  • Registration fee of Ksh 1,000.
  • Minimum monthly contribution of Kshs 2,000.


(B). Belonging to the diaspora

(I). Individual diaspora registration

Complete the individual diaspora membership request form.

Please attach a valid Kenyan passport.
Attach a color passport-sized photograph.

(ii). Joint membership in the diaspora

Complete the Diaspora Joint Membership Application Form.

Please attach a valid Kenyan passport for all applicants.
Attach a passport-sized color photograph of all applicants.

(iii). Diaspora group membership

Complete the diaspora group membership form.

Attach minutes of the meeting of the group that decided to join the Sacco.
Attach the group statute.

Attach copies of your valid Kenyan passport and passport-sized color photographs and authorized signatories.
Attach a copy of the group’s registration certificate.
