This article is about the Courses Offered At KMTC Eldoret Campus. The KMTC Eldoret Campus is one of the largest KMTC campuses in Kenya. The campus is located in Eldoret town in Uasin-Gishu County and adjacent to Moi Teaching & Referral Hospital. The institute began operating in 1977 as a nursing school and offers training in registered community health nursing in Kenya. In 1987 the Hospital Maintenance School was created with the support of the governments of Austria and Germany and the Kenyan Ministry of Health. In 1996, the Schools of Nursing and Hospital Maintenance were merged to form the current KMTC Eldoret Campus. KMTC Eldoret campus offers higher diploma, diploma and certificate courses in various medical fields. Below are the programs currently offered:

Requirements: Average grade of C, C in English or Kiswahili and biology/life sciences. C- in one of the following: Chemistry or Physics/Physical Sciences or Mathematics
Duration: 3 years
Diploma in Medicine and Clinical Surgery
Requirements: C average grade, C in English or Kiswahili and C in biology/life sciences, C- in chemical/physical sciences C- in one of the following: mathematics, physics/physical sciences
Duration: 3 years
Certificate in Medical Engineering
Qualifications: Average grade of C-, C- in English or Kiswahili, D in mathematics, and D- in physics/physical sciences. D in one of the following: chemistry, biology/life sciences, electricity, metalworking, technical drawing
Duration: 2 years
Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences
Requirements: Average grade of C, C in English or Kiswahili, Physics/Physical Sciences, and Biology/Biological Sciences. C- in one of the following subjects: – Mathematics, Chemistry
Duration: 3 years
Diploma in Medical Engineering
Requirements: Average grade of C, C in English or Kiswahili and mathematics and physics/physical sciences. C- in one of the following sectors: – Biology/Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Electricity, Metallurgy, Technical Drawing

Higher Diploma in Anesthesia
Requirements: Diploma in Clinical Medicine; Valid practicing license; and 2 years of work experience
Duration: 24 months

KMTC Eldoret Campus has several clubs and societies that cater to students’ interests and hobbies. These include the drama club, the music club, the Christian Union, the Muslim Association and the Red Cross. In addition to the athletics the campus is known for, students can also choose from a variety of sports to participate in. They include netball, football, rugby, hockey, basketball, darts and indoor games.
