The directive started on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, in which all visitors planning to explore national parks, reserves and sanctuaries managed by KWS will have the convenience of paying their conservation fees through the eCitizen platform .

How to pay KWS park through eCitizen

Download the eCitizen app from the App Store or Google Play. You can also access the platform from https://kws.ecitizen.go.ke/.

Log in to the platform or register if you don’t have an account.
Choose Kenya Wildlife Service.
Select the park, reserve or sanctuary you plan to visit.

Fill out the form with details about the number of people planning to visit, their age and gender.
Check the information provided carefully before proceeding to the next step of payment.
Select your preferred payment method and proceed to pay the required amount. You can pay using Mpesa, Airtel Money, credit or debit card.

Double check your details before completing the payment process.
You will receive a confirmation message on the e-ticket after successful payment.
Donate or hand over e-tickets at the entrance of national parks, reserves or sanctuaries you are visiting.

The transaction will be recorded in the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) system, enabling you to enter the park, reserve or sanctuary when you arrive at the gate.
