These are some of the courses offered at the KMTC Nyamira campus. Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Nyamira Campus is a university located in Nyamira County.

The school was established in March 2012 to address the high morbidity and mortality in the village due to the increase in malaria in the highlands and reproductive health problems.

It is located five kilometers from Kisii-Kericho road, off Nyamira-Miruka road, next to Nyamira Level 5 Referral Hospital.

KMTC Nyamira campus currently offers two degree courses to its students. Below is a list of studies and their requirements.

Diploma in Community Health Nursing

Requirements:

Grade C,

C average in English or Kiswahili and Biology/Biological Sciences.

C- in one of the following fields: Chemistry/Physics/Physical Science or Mathematics

Duration: 3 years

Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery

Requirements: Grade C average,

C in English or Kiswahili, and C in Biology/Biological Sciences, C- in Chemistry/Physical Science

C- in one of the following fields: Mathematics, Physics/Science the body

Duration: 3 years

In addition to the existing courses, the school has decided to offer two additional degree programs.

The courses offered are;

• Diploma in Pharmacy
• Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences (MIS)

The school has well-equipped modern facilities, including a one-story classroom with six classrooms and bathrooms, a well-equipped library, well-equipped laboratories, modern classrooms,

an office for management , staff and student hospital, administration block, hostel, kitchen block, computer lab,

recreation room, football and basketball courts and school bus with 51 seats.

Students at KMTC Nyamira campus gained their medical experience in several local health facilities.

These places include Nyamira Tier 5 Hospital, Kericho Tier 4 Hospital, Masimba Hospital, Gesusu Hospital, Riana Hospital, Keroka Hospital, Nduru Hospital, Gucha Hospital, Gesima Hospital, Nandi Hills Hospital, Vihiga Level 5 Hospital, Ekerenyo Hospital and Mathare Mental Health.

KMTC Nyamira campus has a vibrant student life, with various clubs and societies that cater to various student interests.

From YMCA to Seventh Day Adventists (SDA), Christian Union (CU) and Muslim Union (MU).

Recreational areas, such as volleyball and basketball courts, allow students to relax during breaks and study.
