Nurses trained in Kenya


As a trained nurse in any nursing school in Kenya, you need the following for registration and licensure;

  • National identity card or passport
  • Two color passport photos
  • National Council of Kenya (NCK) Examination Form.

Steps to Register Online as a Registered Nurse in Kenya


Once you have completed and passed the national council licensing exam, you can apply for online registration and licensing after receiving your results. You can register manually or digitally, although applying online is best.

Connect with NCK


The first step in your registration is to log in to the Kenya National Council’s online portal.

Then click “Create Account” to continue.

2. Select a category


Once on the registration page, select the category of student or employee. If you are a student, enter your index number, ID number and email address. Alternatively, as a user, provide your registration number, identification number and email address.

3. Provide personal details


Provide your contact details as name. Be sure to provide correct information and set up a unique password. Once you’re done, click the Save button.

4. Go to registration and license


Click the “Registration and Authorization” tab.

Once the page opens, tap on “Permission Request”.

5. Fill in the required details


You must provide your work experience and educational qualifications.

List any nursing experience you’ve had and any nursing education programs you’ve attended.

6.Download the book

1. Contact NCK
