how to check KRA Pin using ID Number

Method 1: contact KRA through social media

The first step is to scan your color ID card and then send it to the KRA social media page, preferably their Facebook or Twitter page, via direct message and tell them that you forgot your KRA pin. Then ask them to send it to you. They will respond within an hour and you can recover your lost KRA PIN. Using social media to ask for help is the fastest way to get a response.

Method 2: Visit KRA office or Huduma center

Visit a nearby KRA office or Huduma center with your original ID. Request recovery of your KRA PIN at the customer service desk. You will be asked to provide your original ID. Once your details are confirmed, you will be given a printed copy of your KRA certificate.

Method 3: Email your colored ID to KRA

You can email KRA at callcentre@kra.go.ke and send them a color scan of your National ID card on both sides. Preferably use the email address you used to register for iTax. However, this method is slower than communicating with KRA through social networks.

In case of any clarifications, kindly contact KRA through official channels.
